Make Your Own Homemade, Spanish Rice
Spanish rice is usually some combination of tomatoes, peppers, onions, and oil or butter. There are a ton of great, spanish rice recipes but this one is a pretty solid choice. If you don't have the time to prepare, chop, and clean up after a more elaborate recipe, you can make quick, spanish rice using some common kitchen ingredients.
Simply add some tomato sauce, paste, or salsa to your rice. Then sprinkle on some garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and freshly ground black pepper. Once you've heated up the rice, add some extra-virgin olive oil for a quick, tasty rice dish that requires almost no cleanup.
Get Saffron and Make Some Paella
For centuries saffron has been one of the most coveted spices in the world. It's usually on the pricier side but its unique, different taste makes it worth trying once in a while. Paella is a famous dish from the Valencia region of Spain. It almost always includes olive oil, saffron, and rice and frequently features green beans, white beans, meat, and seafood.
But you don't have to make an elaborate meal to make rice taste better. Simply adding a few threads of saffron, some olive oil or butter, and some sea salt can make your rice taste a lot better.
